At Strides New Forest Honey, we are deeply passionate about bees and the art of beekeeping. We are delighted to invite you to discover the world of the honey bee for yourself through our relaxed, fun, and informative beekeeping experience days, led by beekeepers Jack Stride and Persis. Hosted at our home base at Storms Farm, set within the stunning New Forest National Park, these hands‑on days offer a unique insight into life inside the hive.
A beekeeping experience makes a truly memorable gift for Christmas, birthdays, or special occasions.
Whats Included
- Honey tasting – try an assortment of honeys.
- A chat about the life cycle of bees – including the different roles of the bees in the hive and swarming.
- A chat about beekeeping – we’ll look at the day in a life of a beekeeper and what to expect through a season.
- We’ll take a look at what beekeeping equipment is required to keep bees.
- Picnic Lunch served
- A chat about what you can do in your own lives and in your gardens to have a positive effect on bees and other pollinating insects.
- Observe a bee colony in our hand crafted oak observation hive.
- Get hands on and take a look inside an active beehive and see what goes on with your own eyes.
- We cross the farm yard to our training apiary where you’ll get to inspect your own hive. (Welly’s are a must all weathers)
- A gift bag with jar of honey Will be provided at the end of the day.
- Tea and Coffee station available all day.

Experience days will be on a Friday commencing the beginning of May running through till August.
